Paws to Read is a national program where children read to dogs. Research with therapy animals indicates that children with low self-esteem are often more willing to interact with an animal than another person. Children involved in these programs have shown improved reading skills and increased self esteem.
You could put out those hanging nets with bird feed in them to hang in trees. They seem to go down very well. You can get them in all hardware stores.
do the dogs tilt their heads to the side like when you show them a card trick?
The program here is Wagging Tales, bit it’s the same thing.
Thanks captain buzzkill! You must be a hoot at parties.
Seconded what Donna said. I came in to comment about the same thing but she said it much better than I could have.
